Keep calm and granny on — a blog on life, wisdom, and authenticity.
I’m Willow Ryan — an old soul in a young body, a wanderer, a dreamer, and a cranky old granny hoping she can hang on for just one more day. Some say I’m neurodivergent… I prefer “Divergent.” But either way there’s a few cracks in my teacup and a heap of trauma I am composting for the flower garden of my life.
I’ve solo-traveled the world from Europe to South America, sailed tall ships across oceans, and home-birthed a baby in a converted school bus. I’m not totally sure what I’ll write in this blog — stories from my wanderings, mothering madness, divergent musings, and the kind of trauma-composting thoughts that only show up at 2am when you wish you were sleeping.
Now sit down, pour yourself a cup of tea, and brace for the best.
Laugh with me at my antics. Cry with me through the madness.
And maybe, just maybe, find a little wisdom tucked in between the roots and dirt clods.
Here, we embrace the the brutal truth, the cracked teacups and the joy that comes from living life our own way.
Let’s granny on.
